Vendors on Victory was founded by Claudia Burchstead and family as a small business incubator, coastal lifestyle marketplace. 80% of the 52 vendors in the 7000 square ft marketplace are women -owned small business entrepreneurs. From vintage clothing, to antique dealers, to local makers/ crafts, furniture painters, artists of all types as well as adult and children’s fashion boutiques, Vendors on Victory provides an affordable space for women entrepreneurs to succeed. Savannah has long been a home for women leaders including the world-famous Juliette Gordon Low who started the Girl Scouts in Savannah GA. Vendors on Victory is proud to be continuing Savannah’s legacy of women business owners leading the way for Savannah’s business community. Each month Vendors on Victory donates a portion of its overall sales to a local Savannah charity.
Providing a home /Brick/Mortar store for 52+ local small business owners, Vendors on Victory was founded to help local Savannah area business owners succeed. By offering an affordable space in the central location along Savannah’s historic Victory Drive business corridor, business owners are able to reach local clients as well as the ever-increasing tourism markets. Vendors provides all the services a business needs: in-house sales staff, check out, credit card processing and computerized inventory / sales systems. Instead of having to sign a 10 year commercial lease and come up with significant funds for deposits, build out, and upkeep, the vendors pay one flat monthly fee plus small commission and enter into a 6 month contract. This unique service was started by the Burchstead Family: Claudia & David Burchstead as their way to give back to the local community. Each month Vendors on Victory donates a portion of its overall sales to a local Savannah charity.
As Savannah has experienced rapid economic development, the price of real estate has soared. Buildings that once served as home/ offices for local artists, antique dealers and boutique shops have been sold/ converted into Hotels, Vacation Rental spaces or condo developments. For example the 100 year old Savannah Arts Association (Oldest nonprofit Art organization in the state of Georgia) lost its Art Gallery when the building was sold and they had to vacate. This 100+ artist members group has found its new home/art gallery at Vendors on Victory. Kerry Peeler a local antique dealer had an antique store on Bay Street downtown for decades. When his building was sold , he was given just a few months notice to find a new home for his antiques business. Thankfully Vendors on Victory was able to provide an affordable booth space. Now 52+ vendors have new homes in a 7000 sq ft retail marketplace which provides all the business services they need to succeed. Each month Vendors on Victory donates a portion of its overall sales to a local Savannah charity. For more information visit www.VendorsonVictory.com
